I was going to visit a friend in Birmingham, I was so excited to catch up with her and meet her newborn. Due to personal circumstances on both sides we had to postpone. I thought great, my day is a bust and I could feel myself getting into a low vibe. I had a call with my coach and immediately felt lighter and brighter so I picked myself up, dusted myself off and went to watch a movie – The Greatest Showman. It was absolutely fantastic and I got so many ahas from it that I wanted to come in and talk about something near and dear to my heart, FEAR, because I have been struggling with it the past few months and I wanted to share how I am coming out the other side.

Today marks the day that I am committed to NOW living my destiny in spite of my fears and I want the same for you because we deserve to be happy and loved and live our fullest life.

I make this commitment to myself every single day, it’s one of the things that I do in the morning as I do my morning power hour. I journal, meditate, come into alignment, write my reality and gratitude and start my day off from this space. It feels amazing.

I’ve been journaling around fear over these past few days and wondering what keeps us all stuck in fear. See the majority of us keep ourselves playing small because of fear.

Often we think our fear is protecting us, it comes up when we are starting to dream bigger, when we want to try something new or in any challenges we are having. The crazy thing about fear I have realized is that it will always be with me and I have the CHOICE whether I allow it in the driver’s seat.

Does it ever go away, no it doesn’t but the good news is we can allow it not to overwhelm us and stop us from living our best live. It is a CHOICE we have to make every single day.

FEAR – False Evidence Appearing Real

Whenever I am stopped in my tracks here are the steps I take to break it down

  1. I journal on whatever is making me fearful, I get it all down on paper (no matter how ridiculous it is)
  2. I go through each of my fears and ask is it true? This is such a powerful question to ask ourselves. Sometimes we have really old evidence from childhood that just does not serve us any longer so it helps to examine how old this evidence really is
  3. Then I ask “Is this a valid enough reason for me not to move forward? -Very often the answer is heck no, it is not valid at all. What am I even thinking?
  4. Does my goal and destiny matter enough to move forward anyway even if it is true? This comes down to how badly you want your goal or your dream. And the answer to this should be a whole hearted YES!!

It may get hard on some days but if you have your goals and dreams in the front of your mind and make them non negotiable and commit to them every day.

So takes these steps 1-4 and work through them on a specific fear you have in your life. I am so excited to hear your results because I know that working through these steps will shift your perspective and make your fear feel lighter.
