So as you may have guess already the topic of saying YES to pushing myself out my comfort zone is near and dear to my heart. I guess this is mainly because I love to grow and learn and push myself to be the very best I can be

Now back in the old days this was so I could compete with other people and prove to myself that I was “good enough”

After many years of not feeling good enough I finally realized that

  1. Trying to be better than everyone else was exhausting (que perfectionist tendencies)

  2. Comparing myself to everyone else was making me feel really crappy about myself

  3. The only person I really needed to compete with was myself.

When I had realization 3 ,I was blown away. In order to be happy all I had to do was BE ME and want to BE ME BETTER everyday.

As soon as I took the focus off of others and started concentrating on what I actually wanted (not anyone else but what I wanted) things started to shift for me.

I became more comfortable in my own skin, I started taking mini acts of courage or mini risks bit by bit, day by day. My confidence soared and so much opened up for me in my career and business.

Why am I telling you this? Because it is important to understand that you have to keep on taking those mini risks to build momentum. Last week I said YES to presenting to my team at the Google Academy and I was quaking in my shoes but I knew without a doubt that this would put me one step forward towards my dreams.

And you know what…. I had so much fun doing. I got to present in Google’s version on a theatre and it was AWESOME.

Every time I start feeling FEAR, I turn it into excitement and think about all the good things that are just over my fear. Works every time.

If you are struggling with your confidence or putting yourself out there and know you are meant for me, please please reach out so I can help you with this. It is such a fun journey. I promise!!
