“It’s no use going back to yesterday, because I was a different person then”Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, Lewis Carroll

I love love love love this quote because it holds so much damn truth and is so eloquently expressed by Mr Carroll.

So often I have been stuck in the past, replaying situations over and over and allowing them to creep into my present.

This has affected the actions I have taken in the present moment and my responses to situations.
Which means that my future is being affected.

Because, I create my future in the present moment (not the past).

Sometimes we may think it is a good idea to go backwards, for example going back to an old boyfriend or husband (in my case) but we need to remember that we are a different person as time passes and that means that the following has happened.

a. We may have revised the knowledge ro information in our brain about a situation.

b. We may have added some new knowledge to our brain.

Both allow for a change in perspective.

How we get that change in perspective can be as simple as having a conversation with a friend, colleague, coach or reading a book.

However it comes, it means we are most definitely different to how we were the day before. i.e. a different person.

So beautiful!!

How can you apply this new found knowledge and look at a situation you are going through in a different way?

Are you stuck and need help with that? I would love to help you figure it out because my passion is helping you to thrive and feel happier and more joyful in your life. Comment below and let’s chat.
