Everyone of us has an “Inner Gremlin” in our heads, you know the one that is always telling you mean stuff or criticizing yourself or others. “I’m not good enough”, “I should have done better”, “I’m a fraud” and on and on it goes.

Did you know that this harmful inner talk affects our bodies and scientific research has said for every 1 criticism you give to yourself, you need to give yourself between 3-5 compliments to combat the effect.

So what can you do about it today?

Take your top 3 negative beliefs or what you keep saying to yourself in your head and ask what that belief or thought is costing you on a daily basis

How do you know it is still true, in other words what evidence do you have?

How will my life be different if I let go of this thought or belief?

As with anything we need to notice and have awareness of how we are talking to ourselves in this way so take 1 or 2 days a week and record your thoughts or your mean inner talk and do this for AT LEAST 21 days. You will be surprised at how much negative self chatter we have in our heads

Once you have answered the questions above it’s time to FLIP THE SWITCH

Write an opposite belief or thought to the negative ones above. One that is comfortable for you or perhaps one you would prefer to hold.

Look for evidence to support your new belief. You will find it!!

List the actions you need to take to make them true and then TAKE ACTION!!

SAY ADIOS TO YOUR INNER MEANIE!!!
